Valley of the Sun Violins is one of the only shops in Arizona with a full time luthier who does restorations and in-house bow rehairs. Some typical repairs include:

Clark Drinkall- Luthier
Clark Drinkall is a violinist, guitarist, and luthier with over fifteen years of experience working with various musical groups and music shops in Nebraska, Iowa, and Arizona. He holds a Masters Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Nebraska and a Certificate in Violin and Violin Bow Repair from the Violin Guild of America in St Paul, Minnesota.
Strings & Tuning Services
Many new players have trouble tuning their instruments, or often break strings during the first attempts. We carry a wide variety of strings for students to professionals, and put them on and tune strings bought in our store or on any of our rentals for free.
Custom Appraisals
Dying to know what Grandpa's violin might be worth? Have an old instrument that you want to get up and running again? We can let you know its general value and what work would be needed to get it in playing shape again. Casual quotes available at no cost, while formal written insurance appraisals are available for a $150 fee. Appointment required.
